travel from the UK is allowed ?

Post new topic

Hi there

I am hoping to become a newbie to KSA very shortly. I am just wanting to make sure that regarding travel I have the correct information. I am currently in the UK and would need a letter of employment, a COVID test before travel, quarantine of 10 days upon landing in Jeddah and a negative COVID test before I am able to attend the office. Can you please confirm travel from the UK is allowed as it's all a bit ambiguous here right now, if not what is the best way to travel as in via where.

Thank you all in advance, looking forward to joining the expat community.

Stevie

Hi,

First of all you’ll need an entry visa stamped on your passport (this is issued at the embassy in London and dealt via agents). The best is to find an agent in the U.K. first before started with any plans as it’s a long winded process. Once you had that sorted you need to go to a different country that’s not in 20 banned lists counties to enter the Saudi for 14 days. Please be cautious the lists are growing every day. Prior the end of your self isolation in a different country you’ll need a Covid test to enter Saudi.

Once you are in Saudi there are numbers of things you need to do. But best to check Saudia airlines website as it chances all the time

Hope these help

An update,  since the last two days, UK along with 19 other countries have been put on the travel ban list announced by Saudi.

You cannot enter Saudi if you are coming from one of these countries or indeed, even transiting through them.  The only way to enter now is for you to go and spend 14 days in a country which is not on the ban list and then enter.
