Visa status discrepancy - Student/Indeterminate

Post new topic

Hi,

I hope you are all keeping well.

I have applied for an investor visa, however the ministry of labour have requested me to clarify my current visa status, as on the application form I stated that I was on a student visa (which is correct) and have noted my RNM number, however when they check the system (i'm guessing the Policia Federal site) my visa status shows as 'indeterminate'.

I can only assume that when I re-entered Brazil last year the immigration attendant (who I think was a trainee) entered my visa status incorrectly and my visa status is now 'Indeterminate'

Two questions:

1. How can I clarify this discrepancy?
2. If I left Brazil and re-entered again, would my visa status automatically show up as 'Indeterminate' or would my visa status change to a Tourist visa?

Thanks in advance for any advice,

1.The visas do not automatically change. (Well they can be canceled) You cannot have more than one visa in the system.
2. You will not find trainee's on the front lines at an airport. They are supervised.
If you are saying you entered via air and changes would be made in the secondary inspection of entry, not in the initial line, it takes the supervisor or above to sign off and enter such
Therefore you need to go to the PF office and try to get it straight. Now there you will find probationary agents which may not give the correct information.
M of Education is a different system than MJ
