I need to replace my tyres, change the battery of my car and have a minor reparation to the rolling bars...
Buga auto wants my...blood and I started to get a bit upset of asking them to call me before doing any work should the costs raise significantly and ending up paying (with no phone call) 400 eur fora periodic season check,

I would advise you to perform routine maintenance in Germany. ATU and other similar automotive chains can book a date/time for you over the phone and give you a precise cost estimate, provided that you specify exactly the service requirements.

I have generally found ATU to be 30% cheaper than Midas or Auto5 in Brussels. For tires, this margin may be even higher.
