It might be time to spend some time and energy on your site. Constant notifications to threads that I haven't subscribed to and repeat notifications even after reading a post. The tech department has had weeks to sort this out, but still have the same issues as of today.

I have let Admin know.

Yeah, expat.com, I have reported this issue for 5 years.  The way I check expatcom for new posts is via my gmail, as I direct all expat.com notification emails to a folder. But about 1 in 20 posts I receive is a very old thread topic. Or a new answer from @ciambella explaining to a helpful person that THEY wasted THEIR time replying to a 2018 question by mistake. Because of this unfixed bug. The frequency is getting worse. You need to get a software engineer to look at the crappy sql in the cron job.

Many of us have suggested for years  a block button be added to the site. This would reduce a lot of unwanted banter and insults.

STILL WAITING!!!!

Haha.. block would be a good idea .can imagine a few uses for blocking the "moderators" 😜

Thorn-Tree, the Lonely Planet forum, used to have a message on its forum, "It's not cool to block the moderators", and look where it ended up after the PC brigade got hold of it.

Funny thread. This type of stuff has been going on for years on  fortunate for them new expat come, and they join and keep the site in existence. The old ones eventually give up and leave or do not participate. Never a shortage of new folks with tons of time on their hands to be come site police though. More police then there are active members.
