I have been to many parts of Mexico but no visit to  P.R. so far.Hope to plan a trip there asap as covid subsides and i am fully (pfizer) vaccinated now.If it is possible i am considering my present retirement there. However,my income would be around $1300 monthly.Could i live decently and able to get a nice one bedroom apt there, ect?Only in the thought process now but any info and input would of core be appreciated.

Bef.ore making a decision you need to go for a visit first and check out the entire island. You can spend time exploring and make a couple of trips or you can rent for a month and see if it is something you want to pursue then get into details.

True but affordability is my may concern regardless.

Welcome to expat Mexico arthow,

The place where you should check your eligibility status is in the Mexican consulate near you.

Unfortunately, getting them to talk to you has been a huge issue since COVID. No answers to phone calls or emails for 5 months now.

Thanks but i am aware of my eligibilities as far as long term in Mexico but just trying to get an idea of how far a budget of $1300 monthly might get me in P.V. including rent for nice decent apt.Guess i really need to visit and decide for myself.
