Hello Everyone I am new to this forum, interested in knowing about buying a property merely for golden visa . May be one day move from Australia to Portugal but could be 30 years later . Read John's post about acquiring a real estate wanted to check if聽 any of you have dealt with any reliable lawyer and real estate can recommend that will be great. thank you

Hi, I am still going through the GV process, and it has been a journey made difficult by (1) Covid closures of Immigration and now the fact that GV rules changed; and (2) SEF are undergoing major changes and seem to be in a disorganized state.

GV is very positive, and does give some big advantages over more temporary visa types.

However you would certainly need a good Immigration lawyer, as it can be convoluted.

I used Valadascorerial & Ass. They have been diligent, but now t fast, however this may be a common trait in Law, and Portugal!

They are based in Lisbon, have good Immigration knowledge, and a range of other disciplines and services which are useful along the way!
