Portugal D7 VISA Service providers - any recommendations?

Post new topic

Andrew Rockwell

We're a US citizen couple in Florida and want to move to Portugal by January 2022.  We've lived in Brazil and Argentina.  My wife is Brazilian and Portugues is the house language.  I am retired with proof of income.

We are planning to be in Portugal in August for one month and would like to move there by January 2022.

We're trying to decide if we if we need to use a VISA "expediter" service or go it alone.  We don't know what we don't know and would like to make the process as painless as possible.

I have spoken to Global Citizen Solutions and I don't know what VFS.Global can do.  I think Global Citizen Solutions is expensive, but I don't have a comparison.  Any suggestions?

This has probably been discussed a lot.  If so can someone point me to the right area that would be great.

All comments and suggestions are welcome.

Sincerely,
Andrew

Hi Andrew, Welcome :)

If you want, you can do the whole process by yourself. On this forum you have a lot of information as well as some people' testimonials from who have gone through this D7 Visa process before. You will just need some patience to search for "D7 Visa" using the search tool in the top right corner.

Some help here:

You have plenty of youtube videos talking about D7 visa, such as:

If you still have any doubts, please let us know.

Thank you so much.

It seems the more I searched and read the less I learned.

So much of what I see is trying to sell me services and not answer my questions.

You have also the NHR Regime:

These companies are always looking to sell services...

Hi Andrew
I am in the process of applying for my D7 visa at the moment and found a fantastic (and really reasonably priced) company to help called Algarve Knowhow. Email Marta and tell her Zoe in London recommended her. I would definitely recommend using an agent as there is so much paperwork and she knows all the ins and outs. Good luck! algarveknowhow@gmail.com

I applied for D7 Visa in November 2021 and got the Approval and after that i am not able to travel for Some reason.

And i apply again in May 2022 and this time i got refusal letter from Embassy "Does not prove sufficient financial means".

As i have funds in Portugal Bank Bank account for the family of 4 (2 Kids, Husband & Wife) which is 20K Euro. Also i show them Passive income for Rent, Saving certificates, Lease Agreement in Portugal for 1 year registered. But i don't know why they refuse with this reason.
