@Bhavna The thread is indeed at risk to be a commercial thread. More then enough topics where people can help or give their view, generic support is nice, but what does that mean?
@Priscilla Gunaydin Priscilla. My name is Dennis and I have been living in Kusadasi, Turkye now for 2 years as a retired single man from the USA. Ezpat.com was a valuable tool when I was considering moving to Turkey myself. Over the years I have answered many potential expaters questions in trying to help and taking my experience and helping others. I have made some good friends on this site it is a very valuable tool. :et me know ow I can help. Have a great day.

The post is a bit outdated, but there are only few contributors, I expect expats to comment, but for at least 50% scams/commercial propositions.
Just wondering why the real issues are not posted, I will try (as I got my Ikamet extended), but I am a really upset with the forum not being active with the real normal life issues.
I'm sorry, I'm a little confused. Also, why not post engaging, positive content rather than demanding replies? Instead of complaining, as that won't bring out the best result you seek. Please remember that ½ûÂþÌìÌà doesn't allow commercial propositions for commercial gain unless they're vetted, paid ads, so posting here has no commercial benefits. From what I get, this thread is about looking for moderators for ½ûÂþÌìÌÃ.Â
Forums are usually dead, and people don't join separate ones. They use WhatsApp, Messenger, Discord, etc. Posting engaging content can keep people interested. There are only a few people on this Turkish forum; they might be enjoying the sunshine instead.
@d4zt7bsj
Even though there are many people joining expat.com on the Turkish Forum, few if any post comments. I have not become an expat yet but I have started a few threads which I would view as critical and relevant concerns for most expats and very few people add to the thread. The ones that respond is a select few who remain engaged. It is frustrating for me as I aim to be fully prepared to face my new life when I do become an expat. I hope you are right in that life is so easy & smooth that the only thing to worry about is enjoying the sun.
BTW, your posts are much appreciated.
@d4zt7bsj I am a bit older and all these modern things (Whatsapp, Instagram, TikTok etc) I do not trust, I was a wizard in the very past with Symohony, I could understand EXCEL a little bit, but the world is changing so fast (too fast), I just can not keep up and I read too many horrible reports. Changing omes views and experiences on Forums is fine (expat is fine, but not too much of activity (sadly))
@barankutlay
Hello welcome and thank you for your interest in the forum.
May I suggest that you have a look at the following and share your thought with us : /en/experts.html

Bhavna
@barankutlay Please reply on the topics or even better create other topics. Saying that you want to help is too commercial. I have raised many, many topics in the past.
Local taxes, hospitals, health insurance, too low Aidat, how wo buy a new PC (with English key-board), so many, many topics where you can give your support... and please do so.
@Priscilla
Hello, I live in Istanbul, I can help and advise friends who will come here as much as I can. We can be in contact. But I don't know English, we can communicate with translate
Just please some concrete advices to the members so many topics to cover (and I indicated before)
First of all this forum should not be commercial, just be friendly and practical, my wife and me are expats and happy to pay for services (and we did)
For you just to give a profile give some additional info on developments
-Chance of reversal of locked down communities
-How to pay local taxes (but as per our experience this can be outsourced easily)
-Extending/changing driving license (we did but not too many posts on the topic)
-How to buy whisky online or have this delivered
-Indeed some many restaurants close during ramadan (where are the posts), I understand and respect, but an analysis would be good
-Cigarettes being part of culture (I am happy) cheap and most restaurants even accept inside.
-So many topics which are interesting (not only for Istanbul)
If needed I can give other leads, but please be active, noy only give an advertisment for your capabilities, the best thing is , please share your insights.
@barankutlay  Every expat needs help, even if I consider myself (and my wife) to be relatively experienced. Where are your active posts?
@Priscilla Gunaydin. My name is Dennis and I used this site 3 years ago to obtain information on moving to Turkey and helped a lot of people make decisions in joining here paying back my knowledge of living here in Kusadasi, Turkey. I am now ready to continue and would again like to help others understand the benefits that Turkey provides.
@denismale5951Gunaydin (good morning)/ My name is Dennis. I retired here in Kusadasi, Turkey almost 3 years ago and would be happy to help you with any questions you have.
@marleysaGunaydin. I have been living in Kusadasi Turkey now and would love to visit Istanbul soem time in the future. Can yo please give me some insight as to how to get the most of a visit in Istanbul. I am highly interested in not only learning more about the culture but also a foodie and want to the most diverse experience there to get a full appreciation of real Turkish cuisine from the street food to the best restaurants. What part of the city would be the best to stay with moderate pricing for hotels. Thank you for any advise you can give me.
I do not like megacities at all.
Smaller towns are much better (up to 40 K people), enough choice of culture and food.
@dncole4156
Hello Denis, thanks for offer on giving advise. i bought an appartment in kusadasi in February, which is partially furbished. i still need to buy more like garden furniture and bedding. With garden furniture i prefer 2nd hand if possible, which is quite a common in UK. I wonder if there are 2nd hand furniture shops in kusadasi?
