I'm not sure how much help I would be, since I've only been living here since April.  Although, I am married to a Romanian, and have been in and out of Romania since 2003, so maybe not totally useless.

It'll depend on the sort of help needed.

Romania (EU for that matter) does not need to import fast-food workers.  You have probably zero chance of obtaining a work permit.

I am living in Romania as I have an apartment in Sinaia. I received my "Permis de Sedere" but only for one year last Monday. I have been coming to Romania sinve 1990 as I was married to a Romanian women. I had a previous permis from 2013-2018 but this was with my rights as a member of a Romanian family. My wife passed away in 2017 and after that I found it necessary to return to my native Australia. I have now retired and living on my pension. Due to that 2 1/2 year break and no longer being married to a Romanian citizen it was problematic in respect of my residancy rights. It took me 5 months to resolve and it is settled now at least on the short term. I have dealt with many situations in this country, I have imported houshold effects on a couple of occasion, I have dealt with the Mai on many occasions, dealt with the CNAS with problems many times dealt with doctors medical specialists lawyers Primarie officials. bought and registered motor vehicles etc etc. My wife was suffering from cancer that is why we returned to live permanently in Romania in 2013.

I make no claim to be any expert and my language skills are only average. I understand this is a volunteer position. I can only lay out what my experiances have been especially in the last ten years with my wife's health faltering and relying on myself to resolve these issues especially with no family of assistance.

We are not a job agency, and there are no jobs here.

Your best bet is some farm, factory, or construction work. I periodically read of some such company doing that. But I have no idea who they are.
