Ana&Michael

we are planning to move to NZ in mid of 2012.

My partner Ana is Romanian, a self employed Accountant, me I am R&D Manager and Expat in Romania. I was setting up the automotive product development from the scretch to 80 employees as of today.

We are looking for some challenging jobs where Ana likes to work in her field (Accounting) while I would like to offer my Electronics, SW and general technical, organnizing and managerial skills in domains like Project Management, Change Management, Recruiting or Travel.

Looking forward to any suggestions or recommendations.

Hi and welcome to the forum Ana&Michael!

Maybe you should post an advert in the jobs section of New Zealand classifieds.
It could help!

hi Armand,

thanx for your hint.
Right now I am more in "sensing mode" to see what could come. The closer we go the harder we will work on our issue.

So long,
have a great time,
say hello to NZ,
greetings from Summer in Romania,

Michael

You may have to get your experience and education accredited before being able to work in your fields of choice. Check with New Zealand immigration about work visas and if/with whom to apply for accreditation since it is structured by career or field choice. Accreditation can be a timely process that will cost you too. Don't delay.

To get an idea of what jobs are currently posted, look up SEEK.co.nz. There are other job sites too, just google 'em. Also note that a kiwi employer has to, by law, fill their vacancies with kiwis. If there are no kiwis available to fill the position, then they can interview immigrants/work visa holders. If they decided to hire an immigrant, they have to prove that no kiwis were available. This is not an easy or inviting task. Be prepared.

Good luck.
