Going to Cambodia...

Post new topic

VanYoeun

this is not my first time.  Actually my first time I was 14 and I stayed in Siem Reap.. there was a civil dispute still going on and when I went to bed I could hear gunfire exchange and explosions going off (it was INTERESTING, especially at that age)...

anyhow, will be heading to Cambodia tomorrow via rented shuttle-buss/big mini van type thing to poipet border..the poipet to.. well wherever.

was curious if anyone was up to anything interesting, or something I could do while I was in Cambodia (will be there for another month).  If not I figure I might just vedge out in my home village, and weight lift coconuts jackie chan stylez, or chase around snakes....

my usual Cambodia trip consists of Angkor (zzz), Tabitha Foundation if I'm in the area (they're super chill), and breakfast every morning at Soup Dragon in Siem Reap :S

(I'm posting here, because I'd like an 'exterior' perspective)
since I'm a Cambo n stuff.. I'd like to know what some ex-pats do.

Hi VanYoeun,
I suggest u go 2 Sihanoukville, and check out the area, I found it swell! Not as crowded as of yet as some of its Thai counterparts and just as good. Do not go with the night bus from PP, it breaks your back! :O) cheers G

I may just head there. I'm currently in Siem Reap and have a driver friend from Phnom Penh driving us around in a Camry so it's pretty convenient.  Though I did just come from the jungle (my village) and can now post on the internetz (FINALLY)
