D7 visa approved
Thought I should share as I enjoyed reading these kinds of posts.
19 Oct: Submitted application to VFS Durban for a temporary stay as a remote worker (Not D7)
25 Oct: Application received by consulate
27 Oct - 7 Nov: Received correspondence saying I do not qualify for a temporary stay visa and that I should apply for a D7. Contemplated applying or cancelling as it wasn’t my initial intention, I didn’t know much about the D7 and I didn’t have a lot of the documents.
8 Nov: I sent the outstanding documents to the consulate and received confirmation that my application was processed and sent to SEF.
9 Dec: I received a call saying my visa was approved and asked to send updated flight details (Originally planned date: 1 Dec)
It took 4 weeks from being processed to get the approval.

Thanks for your experience! Can I ask what kind of proof you used for remote working?
