Welcome to the forums.

I would start with reading the pinned threads specifically understand residencia and how it works!

There are also a number of threads with info about moving etc.  Finding a place depends on your needs - long term? Furnished?  Do you need to work?  Remote work needing great internet? Will you have a guarantor?

If Santo Domingo then what areas?  It's a huge city with serious transportation challenges.  It also has a lot to offer as a city

Boca chica - living alone?  This area has some serious safety challenges for a single female in my opinion.

Thank you so much, I’m very happy you reached out as I’ve read some of the threads and am impressed with info you have given to others.  You were concerned with the 70 year old man who had fallen for the 35 years and he seemed blind to the truth.  We can only hope it all worked out.  I have a lot of questions I’m hoping you can give me insight,

Thank you,

Rob

Look into Punta Cana which is very safe and it has a large  foreign community

Thanks for your help, to narrow this down, i have been coming to Dr since 2012, ex-husband is
Dominican so I´m not sure if i would qualify under him for residence, in a relationship with a Dominican now and we are waiting on the K-visa to complete, I love Santo Domingo and Boca Chica so we would probably live in those areaś close to family and friends, i will be retiring from my job and doing my online business it can be remotely so i will need a good internet connection, I´m also looking for a building to have a store front for my business.
