Hi ,who is currently waiting now for the answer from UDI? I am waiting for 5 months now. Cant stop my self to get stress.

I a m sorry that you have had to wait so long.聽 I am Canadian and was looking to come to be with my Norwegian partner and just to get an appt with the police, which is mandatory, it took 8 months but after that is was another 3 months to get my Norwegian Personal number.聽 Things here take 3 times as long as it does back hone and have had to learn to be more than patient when getting things done.聽 I would not worry, they will get back to you.聽 If you need to talk you can message me directly.

Hi everyone! is there anyone here who has applied for family immigration last year 2022 and got an answer from udi. I applied september 2022 and still waiting (6 months now)

Yes, they extended the waiting time. Sometimes i can鈥檛 stop myself to worry and overthink.馃ズI hope will get our residence permit soon.馃�烉煆拣煓忦煆�

I applied in August 2022, Udi received my application in 2nd September. This is my 7th month and still waiting. My husband and I have been calling to recieve update but nothing yet . I sent an email to the Udi, they said a case officer will likely process my case sometime next month April. That will be 8 months.

it鈥檚 really put a lot of stress on me and I find it depressing that I can鈥檛 live with my husband since we got married. Yeah well there are visits but that cost more.

I wish everyone to stay strong as I am trying to. I hope for th茅 best

@Erica Ray hi Erica, i am waiting since october. But I am in Norway while i am waiting. Its also another stress to wait here. I feel you... i think this waiting time one of the longest waiting time for RP all over the world. I dont know why, and i am not sure why everything is so difficult. Stay strong!

@Cansu S脙,mhovd .We are on the same situation.Waiting since October and im also here in Norway. And i get stress so much thinking about it. We need to be strong and positive.

@Reyna208 yes we have to... but the winter was too long... and i am in country side. Nothing to do so much but over thinking... 馃槕

I received mine after 17 months.

You can always email UDI.

They seem to reply in a few days.

It takes a lot of patience to get to the end but it will come.

Was it your first applicatiin ?

I am here in norway and its my first application.

So politi told me that i can stay in Norway during waiting time.聽 But somehow I cant trust that if politi was correct 馃槓

Did anyone had interview in Oslo? How long did it took before u had interview?

@gplaytime it took 2month but it depends were your husband is leaving in Norway too.mine signed his paper at the embassy so didn't have any appointments for DNA when he went聽 back.after that it took one week and we got the passport from the embassy.

Ok, that was easy鈥� I guess we have different case, I have applied with my child so it鈥檚 different

How long did it take before u had interview with the police in Oslo (if u applied in 2021/2022). Anyone who didn't had any interview with the police in Oslo even if they are from Asia?

Just last week the waiting time has been changed to 9 months for applications submitted after Jan 2022. Can anyone confirm if you've received your visa already when you submitted after Jan 2022? How long did you wait?

Seems like UDI keeps changing their wait time and the wait is causing stress and anxiety.

Hi, I have not receive yet my permit. Submitted my application last October 2022. And i agree the longer waiting time stressing me out also.馃槬馃ズ

I guess they are trying to finish up the 2021 applications, cause I called UDI asking for the status of my case, they told me it will take 2 months for them to finish with my case because they are now trying to clear all 2021 applications b4 end of June!

and in May it will mark exactly 18 months, so it makes sense to me as I applied Nov 2021.

It seemed like they lack the resources or case workers.

Knowing the bulk of work I think it would be beneficial for all if only UDI will just add case workers to review the applications instead of having to move the dates often. 馃��

Does anyone know if the newly updated waiting time on udi applies to applications that they are already processing /聽 opened ? Or is just for those that they have not opened?

@Erica Ray for all cases waiting time for 9 months to finish. But already prosessing may take shorter i believe.
