(too) many topics in French?

Maybe it's me but I have the impression that many topics on this  forum are in French lately.

Now, I know the forum is multilingual, but I also (think) I know that lot of people don't master the French language.
As fo myself, I can read French more or less but when I try to write, just forget it. :D

How do we get more English ( or Spanish for that matter ) posts on the forum?

I agree with you Gary we should try to push up posts in english, in order to balance the participation.

One solution is to invite english/spanish speaking people to participate more :)

Another one is to start new topics in other languages

(I think that we may have to split the forum by language one day, but I don't like this idea)

Do you know why we've got so many topics in French? Only because the website is hosted in France :/ (it improves the SERPS on french search engines) the best would be to host the website in the US but it looks like I would have to pay US taxes for using some material there ...

You'd have to pay US taxes? That's new to me..
Do you have a dedicated server now? I'm pretty sure if you would go for a dedicated server with a US provider, you could just do it ( without paying taxes over here)

As for me, I have a big reseller account with an Australian(!) hosting company; their servers are in LA and I host sites for PR, US and also German clients. I never had to pay any taxes related to the hosting...

Another idea to push up english contributions would be to "recruit" english speaking moderators

You should contact the webmaster of the site
They recently had problem by hosting a forum in France and decided to do it in the States!
They are french.

Confirmation of what you said Gary ... too much posts in french, and not enough in English. I'll have to split the forum in different languages very soon!

What do you think is best? to split all the categories in different languages ? or only the "localized forums" (Europe, North American ...)

Anyway I have to do something!!!

No I don't :P but it looks like there are more and more topics in french and less and less topics in other languages... time to re-equilibrate all this as the forum is for everybody ;)
