Hello what does it mean when visa status is closed can I go back to qatar

You need to check with your employer the reason why the status shows closed. If you left Qatar without exit, this could one of the reason.

I have the same issue with my work visa status as CLOSED.

I believe this is because of me entering and exiting Qatar in Nov 2024 from Saudi Arabia. I did not know my new employer had already applied and issued work visa for me during that time. I was only informed on the availability of the visa through email on 31 Dec 2024. Normally I come to Qatar utilizing visit visa, in which I obtain on arrival. Perhaps during my last visit, immigration detected this work visa issued through new employer and recorded this as 鈥淐LOSED鈥� once I returned back to Saudi Arabia.

May I know the process to re-instate this work visa status?
