Get Egyptian Birth Certificate for an adult

How do you obtain a birth certificate from the Egyptian Government for an adult that was born in Cairo?聽 My husband grew up in Canada since he was age 4, but was born in Cairo.聽 His family lost his original birth certificate but we have other paperwork that can indicate his birth:聽 father's birth certificate and parents marriage record, and his baptismal certificate from the Armenian Church in Cairo.聽 We also know the hospital he was born at, but they don't have any records either.聽 He has been a Canadian citizen for more than 50 years, with a valid Canadian passport.聽 But we still need his Egyptian Birth Certificate.

Do we need to hire a power of attorney in Cairo or can we obtain the Birth Record or Birth Certificate from the Egyptian Consulate in New York??聽 I think we will need it for his Documents for Visa and Immigration.

Please help, we really need to find this soon.聽聽Thanks for any suggestions or advice.
