Organic farming & pesticides situation in Bali

I am Italian, living in India now since 3 years: the place where we stay is really special (the international community of Auroville) but unfortunately the farmers here around are spraying pesticides really too much. I became allergic to these chemicals, so I have to move to a safe and clean place where no pesticides are used. Actually a place like that is very difficult to find... but near the seaside and particular in islands sometimes the situation could be better. Reading online, it seems that Bali is not overloaded by pesticides and that some good effort are done to increase the organic farming. So, my聽 question is: is it possible, in your experience, to find a place to stay without chemical agriculture around? Is it possible to find organic food? Thanks for your answer!

I can't speak for Bali, but I can tell you places such as Wonosobo are pretty much all chemical free organic. This is because local farmers don't have the cash to spend on pesticides.

Hi Chiara. Yes in Bali you can find a place to stay without chemical agriculture. And yes, it is easy to find organic food here. However, you will still need to look into the visa issue if you intend to make it your new home.

Oh yes, sure! Thanks for your kind answer. Perhaps you can help me with the visa issue, just suggesting me where to find information about it?
I could come first alone and than being followed by my kids;
or come directly with my kids: in this case, they would be enrolled in one of the International Schools in Bali. Any suggestion is welcome!

You can google everything you need to know about international schools in Bali. The Green School is supposed to be pretty amazing.
