I've been trying to aply for an e-visa for about 2 weeks now, on several browsers, and the same error keeps happening. I'll fill in the form with no issue, but when I'm redirected to the payment page, it won't load.
Just wondering if anyone had a similar issue and how did they navigate around this.
I'm lowkey freaking out now bc my trip is only one month away.

Have you tried the suggestion to use a VPN yet? If it worked for you, we'd very much appreciate hearing back from you of your success.

If the use of a VPN doesn't work, we'll try to get you through this. A similar issue had been experienced by other forum members, but that was quite a while ago back in late 2022.

So, as I understand it, you've completed and reviewed the eVisa application and have received the registration number. You are then directed to the payment page. Is this correct? If so, are you able to select how you will be making the payment? Would you tell us if the payment page you are directed to is Vietcom Bank?

Don't get too stressed.

Apologies in advance if these suggestion seem academic.

Have you tried the suggestion from member OceanBeach92107 to use a VPN? (post #2 above)

Members have also reported that their payment difficulties were solved by using a different browser.

If neither of those suggestion work, please take a moment to read my post above, (post #3) and let us know the answer to the questions posed there.

We'll help you get through this.

Did you clear cookies & cache when using both browsers? Turn off pop-up blockers? Use only medium security settings? Change from WiFi to Ethernet connection? Take the laptop to a totally different location (not your ISP)?

Double check that your payment cards are able to send alerts such as "Verify By Visa"?

Banks/Card companies may say there isn't any problem with a card but when Vietnam is electronically flagged as the payment location, the bank is often not notified by Visa, Mastercard, etc when they reject the payment (my previous personal experience).

Also, even though you live in Australia are you applying with an Australian passport or a different country's passport.

Try OceanBeach92107 's suggestions above and please let us know whether this cleared things up.

As mentioned earlier in this thread, there were reports similar to this but that was back in 2022.

When is your expected arrival date? If soon, then the services of a trusted, proven local Vietnam visa agent might be in order. Let us know whether you'd like to take that route.

I'm curious. Please let us know the answer to these questions.

Back in 2022, as I recall, the issue was due to immigration changing from the payment services of a company called "Payoo" to that of Vietcom Bank.

Don't expect a response/reply to your message to immigration's support page. I've mentioned on a couple of occassions that I'd be gobsmacked to hear of anyone, anytime, receiving a reply. Of the literally hundreds of members who've reported messaging immigration, not a single member has yet to receive a reply. Not to say that the message won't be read, just don't hold your breath waiting for a reply.

As a new member, links you submit will first have to be approved by admin. Try writing the link using "DOTcom" "DOTvn" etc. instead of ".com".

Not recently have I had this problem, but it's not unknown to me.

I had problems with Safari (MacBook Pro) but it went completely smoothly using Google Chrome. That was two years ago on a 30 day eVisa.

More recently, I just used Chrome, got and paid for a 90-day visa no problem.

Before 15th August, 2023:The entry port is clearly stated on your Vietnam E-visa and it is the one that you select when you submit your Vietnam visa request. In fact, there are many cases in which applicants change their entry port and they might be declined from entering Vietnam.

After 15th August, 2023: Vietnam evisa is accepted through 42 international borders (airport, land port and seaport). Entry and exit port are not mentioned in the evisa paper this means that you can use the Vietnam Evisa at any International border gates.

That statement is correct. You are free to enter through any of the int'l crossing points which accept an eVisa.

What reason did AirAsia give for rejecting your flight to Hanoi?

No reason why rejected.聽 But my assumption is that they could make more coin by annoying me, as all the prices went up AUD$200 across the board overnight for that date coming from SIN.聽 This was on the AirAsia Move website, which I won't use again.聽 Thankfully my account has now been credited the fare.聽 The online third party agents seem to be able to confirm flights within an hour, in my experience.

Seems to be one hurdle after another.聽 I live in SEA 50/50, where I drive my own cars or rentals, but I'm finding that getting a car rental in Vietnam is problematic. Partly because Australia has signed to 1940's Driving Convention, which does not list Vietnam on the IDL, but Vietnam is party to a 1968 Convention that Australia is not..........

Seems an IDP is available to Australian citizens, (not that I'd advise anyone to actually drive a car in VN). An IDL is not accepted in VN, only an IDP.

Yes.聽 I currently have an Australian IDP, a native Australian DL and a Philippine resident DL.聽 That link you sent won't get an IDP for Vietnam as the country is not listed as a signatory on the Australian issued IDP.聽 If I was in the Philippines right now, I would be fine as the Philippines and Vietnam are co-signatories to the 1968 Convention, and I could apply at the local AA branch.

Scroll down to the country list on this wikipedia page and you will see the lack of overlap that uniquely affects Australians in Vietnam (and a few other nationalities).

FWIW, I don't like driving in Australia, where aggressive road users demand enormous buffer zones around their prized cars.聽 Whereas rules of do not exchange clear coat, might is right, a gap bigger than a vehicle length is an entry point, are good with our northern neighbours.聽 Other than righteous Australians, IMO Guatemalan and Nicaraguan bus drivers are the most extreme road users on the planet, where competing companies race each other to the next roadside passenger stop with little regard to smaller objects on the road.聽 The strategy there is just to go even faster than them.
