Hello Members,

I am looking to relocate to Sofia in April. At the moment I speak no Bulgarian and realise its important that I start to learn as soon as possible!

That being said I wanted advice on getting English speaking Television channels in Sofia.

Could anyone tell me if there are any providers that have English speaking Channels and if so what types of channels are they e.g films, sports, music etc.

Also are there satelite dishes that you can purchase and how do they compare to cable as far as English speaking channels are concerned.

I appreciate that I will be living in a country where English isnt the first language but just want to prepare myself and know how to access some English speaking television whilst im there.

Also will my English television work in Bulgaria or should I buy a Bulgarian television?

There are many English speaking Television channels in Sofia,to name one,would not be fare, however they seem to put on very old films or show the same program over and over.

A DVD player rather than a tv would be a best thing to bring ..
