Visas and work permits

Is Israel a harder country in which to get a work permit? I am considering getting the TEFL qualification and teaching abroad.聽 Would this help secure a visa?聽 Is there a demand for teachers of English there?

Hello,
You need to have an Israeli employer and applying process for work permit is little bit complicated. English is not so popular only among old generation so at about two third of the population speak English. And every year few thousands of north Americans and south Africans (native English speakers) settle down in Israel through law of return. Maybe that information would answer your questions. Cheers!
