@KingBob you forgot The English School - Salmiya :)

As an alumni, it is by far the best, and first, English school in Kuwait. Although it does not go all the way up to secondary school, only year 8.

I did graduate from NES in the end, also a fine institution.

It is interesting to read other people's judgement on the best school in Kuwait....Yes there are the big three schools ( in terms of numbers but also class size). Surely it's about the quality of individual attention and smaller schools can provide that. It can surely be no coincidence that the English school Fahaheel (in Mangaf) has had the best student in Edexcel English Second language for four consecutive exam windows...not to mention best in the world in Edexcel History in the last exam.

@SanchezSanchez

that's an individual student accomplishment however, is it not?

Yes every student achievement is by it's very nature individual but the likelihood of it happening is significantly increased or decreased according to school student.numbers....To put it simply the bigger schools have more chances to win. Each successive time it happens the probabilities are multiplied together so the probability of winning (by chance) becomes ever more infitessimsal.  My point then it hasn't happened by chance,  through a combination of more individual attention ( because of smaller class size) good teaching and yes the individuals ability and effort it has happened repeatedly and that success should be ignored or trivialised just because it doesn't fit the narrative of big schools are best.
