Can some one assess my profile
Age-41
Race-Indian
Highest qualification- MTech (Master)
Status- on EP, 12 years in Singapore
Married and my wife is homemaker. We have 6 years girl and 3 years boy born here.
PR pending since Jul 2022
This is my 4th time applied for PR
Annual income -130K
If you think my chances are low , can you help me to understand where it went wrong and if possible how can i improve my profile.
-@liveinsg
You can read previous threads on similar topic. We have given enough inputs to understand the pattern here. This is a quota based system which means candidates within their race will fight their place for PR quota.
e.g. If one race’s quota holds 50 percentage then all the candidates of that race will eligible to be PR through their quota. So, it will be an advantage if you are part of that race.
So, your race has the highest competition because their EP and S-pass percentage holds more than 30 percentage (an example to eligible for PR applications) where as PR percentage holds tiny of that percentage.
As Beppi rightly said there is no exact reason published by ICA so nobody can tell why someone’s PR got rejected. Good luck
Hello!
I had relocated to work in Singapore since 2019, and last year I had applied for PR and the application is still pending for a year plus. Allow me to check how is my chances? Thank you.

Million thanks!
@kpliaw88 Your profile looks good, except not being married at that age (meaning you will probably not produce kids for Singapore).
In addition to what Beppi said above. In last 4-5 years, many HK people are moved to Singapore and settled due to political issues or instability in HK.
In your case, if ICA is holding your PR application till today that means they are still considering your application.
In general, 6months is an average time to get a result. Good luck
@beppi & Surya2K
Thank you for your advice.Â
Dear all, allow me to help my colleague ask about your advice here.

Apply for 2 times failed and she is applying for the 3rd times.
Thank you.
She has a stable income, married to local Singaporean and a child (a boy will be added advantage to her profile as he will be serving NS in future). Missing info is whether her child is PR or not? Her masters was completed in SG or abroa;
Salary and education is okay to her age. Only drawback is her race (not in 3 major races). Hope third try proves her lucky. Good luck
@kpliaw88 I assume the kid was born here and the father is the Singapore citizen she married - thus the childis also Singaporean? If so, it should be easy for her to become PR. (If not, the situation is more messy.)
Hello good day I’m bella from Philippines ,can anyone please help me find out if I can now re enter Singapore after getting refused entry 6years ago due to having less requirement to immigration that time and now me and my fiancé planning of going to Singapore this coming first of September but I’m very worried of going since I’m afraid I will be sent back and it’s my fiancé first time to visit the country also so we don’t know anyone there that can help me with my case but hoping I can enter again after what happened 6years ago but this time we’re planning to visit for only 4days so does anyone know here that am I allowed now to enter or maybe will be sent back again to my country.,please hope someone can help me:(
@Bella ?Bella? Ramos Nobody other than ICA itself would be able to tell you if you can enter Singapore. Contact them - and don't travel without their approval (in writing)!
@surya2k in the case the husband income is low and sometimes unstable. will this be taken into consideration? Her kid is Singaporean. Thank you.
Dear all, please help me assist my chances for PR Application

First time Application
Thank you.
@SheJuly1982 Apart from the race, your pofile looks good. But wait with an application until you have completed 3 years in Singapore!
@kpliaw88 shouldn’t be the case as you are having steady income and you are applying for PR. Good think is you are not depending on your husband’s income. So, chances are in your favour that you may get your PR. Good luck
@SheJuly1982 In addition to what Beppi said. Now, salary criteria and points system started into consideration for EP from 01 Sep.
Looking at your age and qualifications, salary is average to market standard. You may refer to EP latest points system.
Hi, can someone let me know my chances of getting PR?
Nationality: Australian
Gender: Male
Age: 30

Martial Status: Married (Wife Singaporean)
Education: Bachelor in Business (Australian Certification)
Annual Salary: 60K annual
Duration in Singapore: 1 year
Work Experience: 1 year in Singapore, 5 years in Australia
Languages spoken: English, Chinese
@jimmy8u4dinner You did not mention the most important factor: Is your race Chinese?
But being married to a Singaporean, your application is anyway in a different league and your job (with low pay) probably doesn't matter much. You may even have a chance before being here for three years - but I think just one year is too short!
@beppi Thank so much for you reply!
Yes my race is Chinese, also how long do you think I should wait to apply for my chances to go up?
Gender: Male
Age: 40
Family: Married to Indian (1 kid)

- Spouse lived with me in Singapore for 3.5 years of which she worked for 2 years.
Previous applications
- Rejected 4 times (3 applied myself and 1 via agent)
I am currently helping various social services, helping develop sports etc .
Could you please advise my chances of getting PR ? and what should I do to improve my chances fo PR as I lived for 16+ years.
@TheOtherOne With your wife living in India, you could only apply for yourself. But since you (and/or yor family) show no commitment towards Singapore (otherwise she would be here), you have no chance to become PR. Sorry!

Any idea if this standard time line for each application status to be revised and rejected.
@SSR_Rs There is no standard time line. But your data looks good (except for the race, of course). Good luck!
hello everyone, so i have been growing up in Singapore for the past 13 years and I want to know what are my chances of getting PR if I apply it independently this year.
Personal background:
Nationality: Indonesian Malay (Male)
Age: 25 this year
Father: Malay Singaporean (Not Biological Father)
Mother: Malay Indonesian (Biological)
Family: Everyone in the family is Singaporean except for mu mum and I.
Education completed in Singapore: PSLE -> GCE O-Level -> Temasek Poly Diploma -> NTU Bachelors Degree (Engineering)
Career: Currently working in an Aviation company in Singapore (3 months only cause I am a fresh grad)
Volunteer: Has been mentoring ITE Students through Mendaki for the past 3 years.
The questions that I have:
When should I apply PR as right now I just started my Full Time Job.
The fact that my father is not my biological father, will it affect my application even when I apply it independently?
Tried to write in to serve NSÂ when I was 14/15 but it was rejected because I was not a PR/Singaporean.
Thank you for your time guys! Please take care!
@cute_ricola
Believe when you said father that means he is registered as your father in all your documents like your mother.
Secondly, you didn’t mention whether you had applied your PR before or not. Thirdly, to apply your PR you should apply you and your mother where your father is a Singaporean. You are staying more than a decade with all your educations in Singapore your case looks fine. Good luck
Note: Only male Singaporeans and PRs can join NS so no matter whether you have interest or not foreigners are not allowed for NS.
@surya2k
hello surya!
thank you for your respond.
yes, my father is registered for all the documents that I have just like how my mum is also registered on those documents.
i did apply PR back then in secondary school and also polytechnic (total around two times) under my father’s sponsorship but then all were rejected. my assumption back then was that the applications were rejected because I wasnt his biological son.
so i decided to wait for university to end, get a full time job, and maybe work for at least a year to apply independently (without my father’s sponsorship)
Did you apply with your mother? You can continue applying your PR under your father’s sponsorship and nothing wrong in that but apply with your mother. Try to brief a letter about your details including contribution towards society such as volunteering, blood donation, charity events etc. then load this as additional document with your PR application.
This is also not a bad idea that after work for a year or so get one year IRAS statement which provides the tax payment then you can apply without your father’s sponsorship. But add the letter I mentioned above. Good luck
@SSR_Rs Im sorry, the result is not going to be positive. You dont seem to understand the difficulty of getting pr for indians. This time it will be rejected and next time if you apply it may have a decent chance.
Hello
I am planning to come to Singapore next Month. What are my chances of getting a job in the accounting field.
Name: Watson Jameson
Age :28
Nationality: Zimbabwean
Qualification: Degree (Oxford), ACCA Affiliate
Experience: 4 years
@mupondawatson To be honest, if you expect to come to Singapore on a visitor visa, find a job, convert to a work visa and start work without leaving the country: There is no chance fo this!
The work visa processing time alone will be longer than your visitor visa is valid, so you will have to leace Singapore and wait for the outcome at home.
But if you have realistic expectations for a mere a job-search-and return visit, you already contacted potential employers with convincing job applications beforehand and your credentials (e.g. degree) are recognised by MoM, then you may have a chance.
And since you posted this (possibly off-topic) in a thread about PR: You can only become PR after a number of years working in Singapore, not now!
@surya2k
Thanks for ur reply. But didn't understand. Can you explain more how ep point scheme could effect pr application outcome as well?Â
Hi, I am from India and have gotten the PR last year. This is my profile: 43 years old; 6 years in singapore; Husband and daughter is on DP; $8,500/month working in IT industry; rejected three times; Applied thrice on my own and sought help on my fourth attempt.    -@yourfaithfulness
Dear forum members, you should be able to tell which posts are real and fake. This above one sure is a fake, which is just a pr immigration agent, who wants to fish for customers here. Look at his description,
'i am from india' - he wants to state this because he knows indians are the ones mostly having difficulty to get pr and are abundant in here, so more customers.
43 years old - he wants to say this because to show that people even above 40yrs age can get pr.
6 years in sg - this is usually the average time spent by an indian in sg when applying for pr.
Husband and daughter is on DP - wants to show that it is even possible for wife to be the main applicant
8500/month - an average salary range for a 40yr old IT professional. He mentions IT as he knows most indians in sg are in IT.
rejected three times - In a course of 6 to 7 years, an average indian would have applied 2 to 3 times and got rejected.
sought help on fourth attempt - Now here is the catch. He wants to mention that he sought help on the fourth attempt to others, indicating that a pr agency would help in successful application.
The idea behind this guy is that he thinks if he say the description of an average indian getting pr, some people especially indians will message him to enquire about the 'sought help' part. Then he will advertise or give link about a pr agency, which is nothing but his own agency.
People who post these are really silly.
@IndFighter I see no indication of a fake post in the poster describing him/herself as average.
Furthermore, no agent can help in becoming PR and no money can be earned that way, so what would be the motivation of your proposed "agent"?
In fact, the only thing that can help understanding the PR citeria and submitting an application that maximises one's chances is reading this forum and similar sources!
@johnholland4896
Hi, I have a friend with a similar profile as yours. His PR application has been approved after exactly 1 year of processing.
Recently, for most cases, the processing time has been more than 6 months to 1 year and above.
Hello everyone, would be great to get a perspective on my chances of getting a PR:
Nationality: Pakistani
Race: Pakistani
Gender: Male
Education: BA from a Ivy League university
Working Experience: 15 years
Occupation: Data Science Manager
Pass: E pass
Age: 38
Marital status: Single
Salary: 20K Monthly
Previous applications: 2 previous rejections
Time spent in Singapore: Total of 11 years (6.5 years initially in SG, then 4 years in the US for work, then 4.5 years to date in SG)
@skysands7777 Your race, in the eyes of Singapore authorities, is not "Pakistani" - but I am unsure whether it is "Indian" or "Other". Anyway, both have low chances.
In addition, you are unmarried and without children, which is also negative.
After yet another rejection, you should probably accept that you can stay here only with an EP, not PR.
Hi @Beppi:
Would be great to get a perspective on our chances of PR approval
Applied as a family of 4 with my Spouse as the main applicant.

Main applicant: 36 years old Working in the Banking industry (IT DevOps Professional) making around 145K + Bonus

Daughter - 2019 born - 4 years old in Kindergarten. (born in SG)
Previous applications
Applied 4 times in total and got rejected. (The last application was in 2018) and got rejected within 3-8 months on all the previous applications
The current application is Sep 2022 (13 months and pending).
Changes from the last application -
* Perm job for both from contract roles and huge change in earnings.Â
*Â Had my second kid in 2019.
* My Pass conversion from DP to EP in 2021 after the job change.
@Arje21 Apat fro your race (which you can hardly change), I see no negative points in the credentialsyou mention.
I hope you did not only consider the cost savings by sending your kids to a local school, but also that your son will have to serve Singapore in the military. If he doesn't (e.g. because you move away before he turns 18), he will face problems living or working in Singapore later in life. PERMANENT residency is a long-tem comittment - and some others have come to regret it later on!
