All he needs is an Abaya and not a sex-change surgery !
Wassup ladies? hope you all are having fun....when are you planning your next catch up session?
Alliecat, I see you are still in KSA? How are you doing? I miss being there.Â
We have been home now since Feb. Hubby is working from home and life has been great. Bought a lake house at Smith Mt Lake in VA and loving it here. Have my mom living with us so thats been a challenge, but at least she is doing better with some help. Â
I hope everyone is doing well over there. I miss all the ladies and all the socializing. It sounds like there is alot more going on now. How are things in Riyadh since the Prince died? What are the rumors on a successor?
Take care and tell everyone hello for me...Â
wow... I'm going to PM you!
Hey Ladies...
Its so great to hear that the girls are getting together and arranging a "social life" of sorts. Heard so many stories about how strict it is in Saudi and how women have to live within so many restrictions.
I am not yet out in Saudi. Been offered a position as ESL teacher with EdEx, considering accepting it....but as i do, the realities of what life may be like for me is a little daunting.
If i get out there (within the next few weeks) id love to meet some people to get an introduction to Saudi.
In the meantime, is there anything i should know before arriving? Any advise you can give me? Any insight into what to expect and/or what the typical lifestyle is?
For me, id love to be able to go to the gym, have the personal grooming services and the shopping facilites....
Im so nervous, i feel like im rambling on!
Hello Ladies!
So glad I bumped into this website, too bad I thought the first page I read was recent. I would love to join the social gatherings. I am fairly new here, barely a year actually..I would love to meet all you lovely ladies.

I hope to find girl in Jeddah
Thanks all
Hi All,
I just arrived here from the UK two days ago after living in Dubai for 7 months. I'm living in the Al Marooj area, but haven't really had chance to socialise much as I don't have a roommate yet. If anyone is getting together at some point soon, I'd love to come along!
@hanmac - You can try to post an advert in the Shared Accommodation in the Housing in Riyadh section. It may help.
Sorry for the off topic.
Thank you,

Auriele, my guess is she's in 'shared housing' at a hospital or university here and just hasn't been assigned a flatmate yet
Hi,
Yes, already in shared housing, was just looking to see if anyone was meeting up at some point?
Hi!
I've been in Riyadh for 7 months and am looking for some new faces to meet. I am relatively new to this forum but this thread caught my eye.
Any meet ups taking place this week or during Eid?
Cheers!

*personal experience*

Im a coffee lover too, young and outgoing. Would really love to meet up with you ladies. Coffee, coffee, coffee. Well, Kingdom compound is a nice and safe place. But as far as I know, you need to have a sponsor to get in. If any of you lives there, or has 1 or 2 friends, that's enough to sign in a group of ladies there. If its quiet impossible, well DQ is not a bad option. As long as we ladies have our iqama or passport copies then we're good. There are some coffee shops there starbucks in particular. Or, if you guys want, I can sign in 10 people in US embassy every wednesday. So let see. I would love to see more other brilliant suggestions. :-)
hey sarah how r u , i hope ur happy being here if u need help for anything don't hesitate im local by the way and welcome to ur second home.
sounds a great idea... we all can meet on tahliya street on some weekend
@h.alnahdi - In english please on this Anglophone forum!

This is NOT a dating site.
Ya I realized that thanks anyways
Hello everyone,
as I was browsing the forum, I found this topic, and just wanted to say HI. My husband told me these forums are the best way to find new people a.k.a friends in KSA in general.
Once we'll be in Riyadh, I would like to join your meetings. My hubby is already there, since end of June, and soon me and our son would join him, probably at the end of this month, maybe next. We have an apartment in DQ compound, anyone living there? Is there any social life in the compound?
(all I have read about KSA points out that there's no social life at all - no theatres, no cinemas, no clubs - is that true?)
