Dutch school mid session for 5.5 years old

Hello fellow expats,

I will be moving to Antwerp, Belgium in coming months. I am an expat from India and I wish to admin my kindergarten going kid in Dutch school. I want him to have a better immersion to the language and culture. And, the international schools are way expensive.

However, I learnt that admitting him mid session would be a challenge. Could anyone please advise what should be the best course of action? I really don't want him to loose an academic year.

Thanks.
