Are my chances of getting a work visa zero without a degree?

Insurgente

Hi all and thank you for the community you've got here!

I'll go straight to the point. I'm a 30yo from Spain with NO degree, which is massive red flag for working in China AFAIK.

I did however finish a 2-year official (as in recognized by Spanish govt.) in Transport & Logistic. I've been working in the Logistics field for more than 5 years.

Some are giving me the advice of just getting the TEFL certificate and apply/contact for every school/teaching centre I see, but the degree part is killing me and I do NOT want to be working in China illegally.

Is there no chance for me to a) get a job in China b) get working visa c) be legally working in China - just because I lack a degree? :S

Thank you for your advices and kindness!

@Insurgente

I spent 14 years in Shanghai and the times have changed recently.  it is extremely difficult to find a job without a bachelor’s degree because of all of the fraudulent and fake diplomas, certificates etc.

The Chinese gov’t has (and rightly so) cracked down hard on giving work visas to foreigners.  It is difficult to work illegally because as soon as your work visa or tourist visa expires you will be notified to either renew the cisa or you will be summoned  to lwave the country withis 48 hours.
