Considering moving to Riyadh... advice please!

LittleStampede

Hello!

My husband has been offered a job in Riyadh, and we are considering a move. Having done a bit of research, I like the look of Al Hambra Oasis Village, and we'd look to send our daughter (currently in Reception in the UK) to the British International School.

In terms of lifestyle, can anyone please advise? Specifically after a female perspective - what do you do all day? Are part time jobs easy to come by? Can I just go out for a run round the streets, outside of the compound? Does anyone own dogs in Riyadh?

Any help would be much appreciated as it's a massive decision for us to uproot our lives here to support my husband's job.

Thank you,

Amy

Hey.. Oasis Village is one of the best compounds in Riyadh and situated in Olaya which is the heart of the city.

KSA culture has changed manifolds in past 5 years and there are a lots of activities one has in the day whether gents or ladies. The culture is open, safe and greeting for others so need not worry about things like running or jogging out.

Dogs as a pet are hard to find but people do have them and there are pet shops for them with all range of services available.

It's not easy to move countries but you will have an excellent time 1f600.svg. I have friends from other parts of Europe who have come through similar fears and now feel so much better to have decided about coming here.

You can dm for anything specific
