Town hall questioning deeds

Post new topic

earth leap

Hi guys, just joined and first post.

We have been living in a tiny village for nearly five years and when we bought our house we were told by our solicitor that the extension on our house w

asn't on the deeds so we paid to have the deeds updated using the surveyors report that we had done.

Recently we have found the money to do some updates to the house, pellet stove installed, gas boiler changed to electric, some tiling, the usual stuff.

We have just received a letter from the town hall asking about work done and we think someone has told the town hall that we have changed the layout of the house even though we haven't.

The question is how do we respond to them because we haven't changed anything structurally or what is on the deeds?

Any help or advice would be appreciated
