Hello, my name is Christine (retired American) and I wish to spend a couple of years living in France and traveling.  I need to learn a lot more about the culture and language before I take the leap.  I hope this forum will help me do that.

I read the bonjour effect and demystifying the french.

I found both helpful if slightly dated as things are changing quickly.

This is Imad Zaid, I am originally Moroccan and I would like to immigrate to France to work as a farmer due to the experience I have spent in this field, in addition to the fact that I love the field of agriculture and I would very much like to learn more about French culture.

Jennifer Jinnette

Bonjour!  My name is Jennifer and I am hoping to relocate to France with my husband, daughter and 4 dogs.  We are currently trying to figure out the best way to obtain a Visa, so if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know!  My background is in Residential Construction Sales & Marketing, and my husbands is in Operations and Logistics.  We would want to be near a good International School.  I am open to different areas of France.  I've visited Paris, Strasbourg and Annecy and loved all 3.  If anyone has any suggestions on how to obtain a Visa/job it would be much appreciated!

Hello,

My name is Wesley and I’m a French and English bi-national living in Nantes. I’m starting up a business offering architectural solutions to foreign and English speakers. I’ll be working with my father who has been doing the job for 20+ years. We’re based in Loire Atlantique but are happy to go further a field (Brittany, Pays de la Loire).

I would be happy to give advice to anyone who has questions relating to renovating, building laws, planning applications and even sharing local companies we work with.

Best,

Wesley Riemer

Hello,

No problem I didn’t realise promotion was not permitted here, I have put my business in the directory as you suggested.

Thank you !

Hi All

We are a semi-retired couple who originally spent many months in Nice in our second home. However Brexit has meant we have to restrict our stays, and we also rent out our apartment (in Musiciens) under contract with Interhome, and also house swap through Home Exchange website.

We are currently looking for ways to use our apartment more, and to be positioned to move to Nice if the opportunity presents.

We look forward to your advice and experience.

@Julien

Hi!

My name is Paul, and I live in Valenciennes, Nord, with my other half and 5 month-old offspring.

I am currently in the process of creating a british themed tea-room in Valenciennes and would like to get feedback from other british expats on what they would like to see/get from such a tearoom.

The whole idea of this project is to educate the uncultured french on our (considerably superior!) culture, as well as share with them our national tea addiction! (of course, this is exagerated for comedic purposes, but the gist is there)

Hoping everybody is well, and hoping to here from you all soon!!
