Hello,

To open a company in Mauritius, you will need to register it with Company's Registrar which is found in Port Louis, make sure you have all your documentation in order and you can go there to register the business - they also their hotline number which you can contact - a google search will help.

When it comes to sanitary and health requirements for a coffee shop, that's also pretty straightforward, i would advise contacting ministry of health to know more about this as im not sure. I can surely find out for you.

I would suggest that you first contact the EDB to verify whether you are allowed to open a Business in Mauritius with a premium visa. As you know, you can not work on the local market with the premium visa, so it might be a good thing to verify the legal aspects first :

Hello,

To operate a  business which is not Global Business but only domestic you will need to have a residential permit in Mauritius and have proper papers from EDB. You also need to apply for new sanitary regulations with the Ministry and also secure proper funding and prepare a good Business plan for local banks for a business bank account.

My first question is : What is the duration of your premium visa on the Island and have you operated a coffee shop before ?

It is not possible to create a company with a premium visa.

As you'll surely have to recruit people you'll need an investor occupation permit.
