Finding accommodation in Coimbra

tony359

Hi!

I hope I am not missing some major threads about this question - I'm looking for accommodation for a few weeks in the Coimbra area and I was wondering if anybody could recommend some websites where to search. For now I've looked at Booking.com.

I'd like to rent a whole apartment, not looking at hotels, B&B etc for the time being.

Thank you!

Tony

Hi Tony

I hope my response is not inappropriate to your question. I am glad the site is being used for diversity of subject range that it covers. I hope you find suitable response related to your search for Coimbra. However if you ever consider Madeira, then I have a property that I own  in Madeira/Tabua 9350-412 that is available off an on when we are back in UK.

Kiran

Thanks Kiran, appreciated!

Geography is not my best strength, Google maps says Tabua is 50min from Coimbra but Madeira is  on the coast of Africa? :)

50 minutes is maybe a bit too much though, I'll probably would like to be in Coimbra every day to attend a language course.

Thank you!

@tony,

For short-term rentals of less than 6 months, there are these sites: ... airbnb.pt  , flatio.pt,  radical.pt, ...

Tabua village in Madeira island is not Tabua village near Viseu...

@kiran,

@tony359 As JohnnyPT suggested, Airbnb might be a good bet. Looks like a number of flats in Coimbra are available on Airbnb for March.

Thanks JohnnyPT!

Yes, plenty available indeed. Though many are pretty small (which is expected given the large University) and I was hoping to find something just outside Coimbra town centre where I could park a car - so I could walk to the school (or use a bus) and then be free to explore when not busy.

But that's my problem :)

I'll explore, thanks for now!
