Private Medical Insurance/Moving to Malaga Pregnant

Post new topic

lainey27leeming

Hi,

My name is Elaine and I am moving to Malaga city at the start of March.

I have just found out I am pregnant and was just looking for any advice in relation to if anyone else has moved pregnant and how to access the healthcare system in Spain whilst my Visa is being processed.

Further context, my partner is an EU citizen and I will be a applying for a EU family member on his VISA.

Just wondered if you had to obtain private medical insurance before I arrive in Spain or whether once my partner has contributed to social security it automatically covers dependants.

Any tips/advice would be warmly welcomed 1f60a.svg

Thanks, Elaine
