I’m planning to rent a home in Penang How do I apply for and qualify for a long term (6 months or more ) multiple entry visa for Malaysia? I have no relatives nor spouse who are Malaysians Thsnk you

No such thing as "im renting a place, therefore I can stay as I like."  In such a case, you rent and then leave when your tourist visa ends and then come back again later. What youre proposing requires employment, student or marriage, same like other countries.


The other proposals in here are true, like MM2H and other ideas, but generally these are not simple or cheap or happen soon.


Some immigration rules appear to be relaxing, this might help some people.
