Hi,

I would like to buy a new car in Greece Thessaloniki.聽 We have a residence permit and also AFM number. We are leaving almost 7 months in Thessaloniki and I want to buy car.

1)聽聽 Can we buy car at any other European country and bring it to Greece if yes what we have to do.

2)聽聽 Can my wife ( She does not have AFM number can she also buy car )

3)聽聽 Do we able to get loan and we have to buy cash while we are not having work permit.

Yes, you can buy a car in another EU country and bring it to Greece. Register it with Greek authorities. 2) Your wife can buy a car without an AFM. 3) Loan availability depends on the lender's policies.

Buy your car in Greece and pay your tax like everyone else.

Good point in principle, but will the Greek authorities then give the OP any preferential treatment for such having a sense of civic responsibility - or will it be just a case of getting the bureaucratic run-around, just like those who game the system?

Sounds like a scam or someone trying to buck the system in order to try and make a quick dollar, most likely not even resident in Greece, or no intention of becoming resident.
