Fiancé Visa- Once approved, how long do I have to enter Norway?

Frosk

Hi!

I applied for a Fiancé Visa last year (UK to Norway) and it's getting close to it finally being processed. However, I've tried searching for some information online and can't find it anywhere, so was hoping someone might be able to answer from experience.

The Visa is the 6 months one - I'm marrying my partner (Norwegian Citizen) in Norway then I'm applying for residency as soon as married. How long once/if my first Fiancé Visa is approved do I have to move/enter Norway?

I'm trying to get a rough plan so I know how long I have for finishing packing, shipping the things I want to take, quitting my job, etc.

Thank you in advance!

I also don't find any specific information which leads me to conclude that you can move any time within that period. However, if you also do plan to marry in that time, be aware that there is a bunch of paperwork that has to be completed before you can officially be married, and if you are planning to stay in Norway, you have to submit the application for a spousal visa a month before the fiancé visa expires.

We know the process once I move and have a plan to get married ASAP to account for any delays in submitting/waiting for the spousal visa.

It's just knowing how long I have to move in the first instance once the Fiancé Visa is approved that's unclear. We're hoping it's within 90 days of me receiving it, but if its 30 days that's going to make things hectic.

yeah, there doesn't seem to be any requirement, so as long as you move in enough time to get everything else done in time to apply for the next visa, it seems like you're going to be ok. Note that I have never been on a visa type and don't work for UDI though, so this is just my interpretation of their website!
