I have made over $1,000,000 investment,I'm puzzle about the president has recently ordered massive deportation of haitians who is going to build our project?

Unfortunately, the Haitian situation impacts almost all of us in some way. We currently have Haitians with work visas doing work on our home, but the vast majority of those in construction are undocumented, and their employers would rather hire cheap day labor rather than spend the time, energy, and money to legalize their workforce. Maybe the threat of deporting all the workers will make the employers step up and do the right thing?

@ddmcghee I concur with you on this. This impacts the workforce all across the board. As far as real estate development, we can definitely expect a slowdown in completion as the majority of the labor force comes from the Haitian community. To the original poster if you have invested with developers who are financial solid I would not be concerned, yes you will

most likely experience delays in closing/delivery but they will make their best effort to deliver with in the grace period in your purchase agreement. From my personal experience so far the projects we are working on have not seen any delays thus far. Let’s hope that there is a greater effort in legalizing those who are in the island already contributing to our economy with their hard work so we can continue to move forward and they can too continue to find a way to support themselves and their families.
