Post new topic

Hello im new here, and i would like to seek help  to anyone who have an idea or already been to the process , how is the success rate of Visa D , is there a required duration of relationship like a year or what before filing for it? Or is it required a number of meet up before filing? My fiancee is a swiss citizen while i am a Filipino, we have no record of marriage ever since then. As of now Were already on the process of filing the marriage preparation in Switz but im kinda worried cause we only met once and been in a relationship in a span of 8 months , kindly comment below for any suggestions or what? Were also thinking about the option of gettin married. Here in Philippines but also taking some time to get the legal capacity for my swiss hubby, and apart from that were also considering getting married in Hongkong.

i am getting stressed and worried about this marriage paper visa because we badly want to end the distance hope anyone coud give us some tips or suggestions would appreciate it a lot thankyou!

Mary

Hi, there are many websites where you can get information such as

expatica.com/ch/moving/visa … ligibility

fragomen.com/insights/explo … ocess.html

you'll need to check based on the canton where your partner is and your nationality if you also need to make the mariage recognize by the embassy in Philipinnes. Honestly I don't buy so much your explanations. You should rather come as a tourist, stay a while see if you get along first go back and then maybe consider to do the whole expatriation process. It is not so much about how long you have been married to process with the visa, it is that there are controls about fake mariages, so if you don't know anything about your partner, you may not pass the questions. Besides you need to remain married for 5 years not to loose your visa. You may find more information on marriage inspections here and talk to people from that forum

Best of luck
