GAMCA tested positive for syphilis! Need your urgent advice please

Hello guys, I was tested positive for syphilis, and that was the pre-Visa GAMCA medical checkup before my arrival to ksa for work(from other gcc country)

The doctor mentioned in the report that I have already started the treatment and I’m fit to work. My question is what if they going to deny my visa since it’s already positive? Or the chances to deny my iqama there?

I’m devastated and looking for your advice on what to do next?

Given your situation, here are some points to consider:

1. _GAMCA medical report_: The report stating you've started treatment and are fit to work is crucial. This documentation may help support your visa and Iqama applications.

2. _Saudi visa and Iqama regulations_: Saudi Arabia has specific health regulations for foreign workers. According to the Saudi Ministry of Health, syphilis is considered a "treatable" condition. If you've started treatment and your doctor has cleared you, it might not be an automatic grounds for visa or Iqama denial.

3. _Chances of denial_: While it's difficult to predict the outcome, having a positive syphilis test result might raise concerns. However, the fact that you've started treatment and have a medical report stating you're fit to work could mitigate these concerns.

4. _Next steps_: Consider the following options:

    - Consult with the Saudi embassy or consulate in your current country for guidance on the visa application process.

    - Reach out to your employer or recruitment agency to inform them about your situation. They might be able to provide additional support or guidance.

    - Ensure you comply with all medical treatment and follow-up appointments to demonstrate your commitment to managing your health.

Keep in mind that each case is unique, and the decision to grant or deny a visa or Iqama is ultimately up to the Saudi authorities.

Stay positive, and I hope everything works out in your favor!

Thank you so much for your tips! I have finished the treatment already and I spoke to the visa agency in here they told me as long as there’s notes in my application they might not grant me a visa!! :(

I have this current experience in Saudi. I was diagnosed in the Philippines with Late Latent Syphilis and already underwent complete treatment last year. Then, I got a reactive result of Syphilis (CMIA method) on my labs. The HR told me that I am unfit to work since I am reactive with Syphilis though I told them that I was already treated with the disease and provided with them my Medical certificate from my doctor. Then, one of my kababayan infectious nurse told me and help me to undergo confirmatory test and thanks to her, she talked with the HR supervisor that confirmatory test should be done. Then, thanks God I got a non-reactive RPR titer and negative TPHA syphilis titer confirmatory tests. Then the doctor cleared me and  put "Fit to work" on my paper. And right now, I am waiting for the feedback from my HR.

As long as non-reactive with RPR/VDRL, they will grant you working visa. However, it takes months to become non-reactive with RPR as long as you are completed with the treatment and it depends on the stage of your syphilis.
