Purchase of car

Hi everyone,

I wonder if someone can shed some light on this for me.

im planning to buy a car in Tangiers soon. Someone told me that if the engine size is bigger than 2.00 litre there is an additional tax to pay apart from the standard insurance. Is this accurate?
