I was employed by a Malaysian company and held an Employment Pass (EP); however, I never resided in Malaysia as I was working remotely due to family circumstances. During my employment, I visited Malaysia only twice.聽

My employer has been deducting taxes at a /!\ I AM A STUPID SPAMMER /!\0%, and my question is: Given that I held an EP but never lived in Malaysia, am I considered a resident or a non-resident for tax purposes?
