How long does it take for someone married to a Mauritian to gain citizenship? Thanks for your reply.

Hello Sunny,

You can apply if you have lived together under the same roof in Mauritius for at least 4 years.

After filing the application, it varies, it may take 1-2 years.

Please enquire at the Passport and Immigration Office. Lots of hoops to jump through. If you meet the criteria, apply as soon as possible and keep your fingers crossed.
