I was planning for importing some computer equipment from US but noticed that most of the online resllers do not ship to Kenya. Does anyone know of a any reputed/trusted online vendor who does.

Further, can anyone share their experience of clearing an item impoted from abroad through customs etc.

@Tuldha- I am surprised that you haven't tried eBay till now. I have got more than half a dozen items shipped to me in Nairobi from eBay.
Coming to the 2nd part, Customs in Kenya can be as irritating as possible. For the SAME THING that I got shipped twice, they charged me 1600 Ksh first time and 3000 Ksh the 2nd time.

DHL & BBK, if you are ready to pay with Visa BBK and ship it with DHL (so costly), but then they can combine and ship it here.

Otherwise, like Socialize then there must be some shipping to Kenya !!

Last option, try to find a shipping company in US who can ship it for you聽

Custom tax is usually 25% of value , then add 16% VAT
for ex. your item is value 100 US, you 'll pay 125 + VAT

But good news, tax for new PC is still null in new budget if I am correct ???
