Hi all,

is it difficult for expats to open a bank account in Luxembourg ?

Which documents are required to open a bank account in Luxembourg ?

How long does it take to open it ?

Is there any restriction for expats regarding the services (loans for instance)聽 ?

Which bank would you recommend ?

it is quiet easy to open a bank account

you will need to be registered in the city hall which is 51 boulevard royal name of building is centre Emile Hamilius. they are very helpful and also speak english

you will also need an address

once you have above two completed you can open a bank account make sure to arrange an appointment, next day appoints are available.

bring you lease contract with you to verify you address, your certificat de residence(getting from centre Emile Hamilius building)and your passport

it will take about 40min to completed and your pin and banklink will arrive by post to your address in about 4days

internet banking is available once you have opened your bank account
