From Alaska to Santiago!

Post new topic

Hello from Alaska.

I am Terry and I live in Anchorage.

I am finally ready to move to Chile probably in March of next year.

I plan to lease a two bedroom apartment in Val or some other oceanside location that might not be too populated.

I am a retired professional pilot and plan to look hard for a place to buy near the ocean and not really populated with too many people. I am retired and active. I'll be attending Spanish learning center to improve my poor Spanish.

I have lived in Laos for eight years and Peru for two years. I love South America and it's people.

My wife is a school teacher and speaks very good Spanish. She will join me after I get some settled. We are planning on living in Chile during the period December through April every year. Maybe longer.

I would welcome any advise as regards a great place near the ocean to look at. i also need cataract surgery in one eye so any advise re eye surgery clinics and such would be welcome.

Have a great day!

Terry

Hey there!

I'm glad to hear you will be moving to Chile!  What pages have you looked online to see places in Valpo?

I am an American living in Chile and I would be more than happy to help you!

I've done very little "Chile Looking" so far.

I am busy here getting ready for a two month vacation in a warmer place.

What do you do in Chile? Are you a Spanish speaker? I do need some assistance when I get down there in getting a Chilean passport and looking a places to purchase and such.

I am a retired pilot.

Thanks for your reply.
