Hi

Guys, I'm sure many of you have passed similar time, what do you do when you are suddenly bored of everything, is there anything in Riyadh you can do alone and make you feel better?
Thanks

You can go to a gym and do the following,

1-Do Sawna

2- Steam Room

3- Swim for a while

4- if you have a friend play Squatch together lol!

Thanks Malik
Gym is not always good... I tried that...and yes I have many friends...but different intrests.

There is something I do usually,

I go and walk in Olaya from Tahliah street till thalatheen Olaya and in that area, it's really fun to do. Then stop by a coffee shop, read a stroy and drink coffee. I do always carry with me a backpack and put some stuff in it, like mobile charger, swimming suit lol and Magazine sometimes!. You can write, write short stories for your self, articles for your self, I think that's a good idea!

ahmeterdem

try to go to a compound and meet new people there :)

Silver1

Thanks malik...good idea, I did not try that before :)
Thanks ahmeterdem...that would be nice but you have to have a friend there first do not you?

I just recently arrived in Riyadh so everything is new to me.  But I can already tell that I need to figure out ways to occupy myself - I did bring a lot of books to read (mostly fiction) and can share those books with anyone interested.  When those books are all read I have decided to invest in a book reader so I can just download books and read it online.

Like Malik, I have also done walk along Olaya - stopping at coffee shops along the way.

I am open to meeting other folks and hanging out.  I am looking at an apartment in a compound this weekend so hopefully that will all work out and I can move in there.  :)

the problem you might have is with the restrictions on reading material if you buy one in the ksa my wife made sure she bought here kindle in the uk to make sure she didn't have the restrictions on what she can get from amazon. she is not here yet so don't know if that has worked but it was just something i thought i would share

Silver1

Thanks R80GS'er for sharing...I did not know about restrictions on kindle.

what kind ofbooks do you read?can i borrow?

houstonian

jadid - I read mostly fiction - spy/adventure type books.  I would be happy to have you (or anyone) have the books I have read.

Thanks R80GS'er for sharing.  I bought my e-reader from the states.  I guess I will just need to make sure that I download the books while out of the KSA or pay attention to what I am downloading while here.

As far as books from amazon goes, i am not sure if there are any restrictions, because I have either found copies of the bokk in mirror sites, or just ordered them online and got it over here by post. on that note, just make sure its not overtly "graphic"
