Doing business in Haiti

Julien

Hi,

are foreign investors welcome in Haiti?

Is it complicated to register a company in Haiti? What is the procedure?

What is the corporate tax rate in Haiti?

Is it easy to recruit?

Any advice you would share with us?

Thank you very much for your participation,

Julien

Hi Julien,

Doing business after going over the registration and legalization process will be a little more easier than the national Haitian. You will get the respect of locals for being a foreigner.

Corporate tax is about 40% of profits and sole proprietorship are only 10-15%.

For recruiting you can use the service of job509.com a network that connects job seekers to employers.

You may also qualify for a 15 year tax holiday depending on the industry you will be working in.

You can also visit these links that will provide you a lot more information than what i know personally

Haitian chamber of commerce: ccih.org.ht
or cfihaiti.net

this link will answer directly your questions:

Hope it helps.

PS: keep in mind written rules are not always respected in Haiti
