Bringing some items in Saigon

Hi guys! I just want to ask if there will be any problem that I will encounter in Saigon Custom in the airport if I will bring 5 pairs of basketball shoes (all brand new). Gonna bring them for my friends working there as a present. I will be staying there for 2 or 3 days from Singapore. Kindly give some advice dear friends. Thank you very much in advance.

The X-ray gang at TSN airport don't really worry about tourists - they are far more interested in ethnic Vietnamese and permanent residents - your baggage has been security checked ad they will likely know about dodgy shipments.

The X-ray machines are post carousel, near the exits doors. You can always say you will be taking them home with you.

NOTE: If you need exchange there is an FX counter just inside the exit doors.

Hi Sir.

TThank you very much for the advice. The first time I stayed in Saigon I brought 6 pairs of shoes with me
but all of the items are already used (stayed there for 9 months). So hopefully this time that i will bring
brand new pairs I won't encounter any custom problem/s.
