Travelling in europe and need suggestions!

Hi all, my friend and I are studying and living in Copenhagen right now and have a vacation coming up that is about a week and a half long and we were thinking of going to Poland, starting out in Krakow and then seeing where we go from there but we wanted to go to Kiev at least and Turkey at the outset.

I was wondering about the absolute cheapest/most fun (we want crazy experiences) way to travel throughout europe. We have checked out the trains and planes and whizzair seems the cheapest but we are a bunch of american boys unversed in the ways of european travel and we need help!
