Your Idea is great.. but why call it a European community if you say everyone else is welcomed? Just call it an Expats community or EB community? So everyone feels more welcomed.. All nationalites have the same intrests in the activities you've mentioned, in the same time we can enrich each other's spirit with our differences..

Count me in - when will we all meet up? I've been in riyadh 2 and half weeks now and could use a social night out!!

That was exactly MY point, Alstroemeria, way back at the beginning of this thread.  I mean, if people on their own break off into groups of their countrymen, that's fine and understandable.  But to promote a group here on EB that excludes some nationalities is just plain wrong.

BTW, you'll notice that nothing has been heard from that person for months.  You'll see that often on forums--somebody with big plans and a lot of talk, stirring up things and then .. POOF.  Nothing.  Nada. Gone.

And one last thing:  if you look to the stickie at the top of the forum, you'll see that there IS and HAS been for a long time an 'Expat Club' where people are encouraged to meet up

This is the farthest I've ever been from home. Have been to Maldives and Nepal before.

I think she went back to her home country as her plan to form a new European Communion failed due to the alien intruders (Americans/Pakistanis/Indians... but mostly Americans ) who, by the way, are not European.

I'm still waiting for the Asian Community to open so I could ask to join. Who wants to be European, anyway? U no read the news? € is going down like Titanic.

Oktoberfest in a compound with Moussy will be nice, though.
