A Culture Festival of Italy and Spain and Latin America countries.
Hey everybody, I'm new here.
I just wanna ask, if there were any cultural festival of Spain and Italy and Latin America countries, would you be excited to join?
I'm organizing this event now for later in October 2012.
There will be seminars, movie screenings, cooking demonstration, dancing and singing performances, etc.
and of course all of the above are showing the culture of Spain, Italy and all other Spanish speaking countries.
I'd like to ask, what would you like to see more there?
and would you come?
Thank you
Regards,
Stephanie Gabriella

It will be movies that won some film festival all over the world. The movies will capture Italian, Spanish and Spanish-speaking Latin American countries.
We will also have documentary movie about a famous Mexican writer Carlos Fuentes and we are working on inviting another great Mexican writer Herman Lara to discuss the movie (we will be helped by Mexican Embassy in Jakarta). It will be in our pre-event schedule.
I will keep you informed about this, check out our blog itanolafestui.blogspot.com there you will get more info about our event

This event will be held in University of Indonesia, Depok. It's near Jakarta, by public transport, you can take train (I suggest you to take the more expensive train Rp 6000 as it is much better, but I think you've already known it, hehehe) and stop in the Universitas Indonesia station.
Or going by taxi to University of Indonesia depok The closest way is to head to the Pancoran and say to the taxi driver "lewat Pasar Minggu ya, pak"
I will be posting some pictures of University of Indonesia Depok in the near time in my expat-blog profile. You can check it out if you wanna know how is the place more or less.
thank you
Of course, I already have been there before. Nice campus mba! I dont live far from there btw. I heard there is spanish class there right?
My wife is looking for a Spanish course in Jakarta. Could you confirm that?

Yes. I took Basic Spanish class for my credits in my last semester. :p
I hope I could take a higher level of Spanish class next Semester cuz every semester spanish class is always full.. :s
That's actually the reason of this festival. We, the students of Spanish and Italian class, would love to make a festival to celebrate our love to the cultures of both countries.
robegf wrote:My wife is looking for a Spanish course in Jakarta. Could you confirm that?
To teach or to learn?
There is a spanish course in my university, not only for the people who study here.. Actually there is a language center in my faculty since my faculty has many study programs of languages. And it's all open for public
In Jakarta, there is a course near Taman Anggrek, it's in Trisakti University. It's called Instituto Cervantes, they are linked to the embassy, I guess. They will also participate in our Itañola Festival.
